The ONIVA platform is a rugged, reliable, and affordable vehicle designed for developing country road conditions during all seasons.
Our innovative manufacturing process allows the vehicle to be built in-country, creating local employment and economic activity. The vehicle can easily be maintained with locally available parts and labor.
The ONIVA can be easily configured to meet diverse market requirements such as interurban passenger transport, dry cargo, refrigerated cargo, ambulance, mobile kiosk shops, health clinics, and libraries.
The Oniva Malaw
The Oniva Malaw is engineered to meet the needs of Senegal’s inter-urban passenger transport market.
This vehicle is informed by six years of market research with drivers, fleet owners, passengers, mechanics, and government officials.
Malaw means strength, resistance, and speed in the Wolof language.
The current fleet of 7-seater vehicles is old, dangerous, polluting, uncomfortable, and expensive to maintain.
Modern vehicles, all imported, that could replace the aging fleet are not engineered to meet West African road and environmental conditions.
They are also much harder to maintain locally, and are too expensive for operators to purchase.

Juan Marcos Donazar is an international trade expert in goods and services, specializing in export logistics for the automotive sector. He has 30+ years of experience in the Mercosur, Mexican, and Asian markets.
Amadou Massar Sarr has 40+ years of experience in the transport and logistics sector, including project management and quality control in Senegal and the West African region.
Robert Meffert: 40+ years of experience in systems engineering, industrial planning and integration, and project management. Bob has developed new systems for the aeronautic and automotive sectors and has international experience in Asia and Europe.
Yanik Ruiz-Ramón: is a communications leader and creative strategist with 10+ years of experience leading multidisciplinary marketing teams, creating multi-channel marketing campaigns, and producing ads.
Cedric I. Ruiz: Software engineer and graphic designer with 15+ years experience in front-end and back-end development, 3D animation, visual effects, and graphic design. He has helped dozens of companies create web and mobile applications.
